Roadmap

This page is for work that is not yet a stable user claim. Current behavior is documented in the reference pages.

API Direction

  • More declarative problem descriptions around SimulationModel.
  • Clearer runtime-bundle provenance for imported physics data and package policies.
  • Better user-facing diagnostics when a source emits particles outside the enabled package set.
  • More complete benchmark result capture and regeneration scripts.

Physics Direction

  • Broader neutron physics beyond total / elastic / capture free flight.
  • Alpha transport beyond CSDA electronic stopping in the current water-table scope.
  • Transport-coupled activation workflows.
  • Hadronic and nuclear reaction transport.
  • Temperature treatment, thermal scattering, isotope-level neutron materials, and final-state generation where applicable.
  • A more complete input-file or configuration system above the C++ library.

Evidence Direction

  • Regenerate and retain current OpenMC comparison artifacts before citing OpenMC as reproducible evidence.
  • Add experimental or authoritative-data references where practical.
  • Keep benchmark plots generated from named summary files.
